Selling products online sounds simple at first.
Create something, upload it, and wait for sales.
That’s exactly what I thought.
But reality was very different.
Why I Started This Journey
I create Japanese-inspired designs, mainly focused on ninja, oni, and traditional aesthetics.
These themes are very popular overseas, and I believed there was strong potential.
So I decided to challenge myself by selling through Etsy and publishing design books on Amazon KDP.
The Reality: It Was Not Easy
To be honest, nothing sold at the beginning.
No matter how many designs I created,
there were no clicks, no favorites, no sales.
I didn’t know what was wrong.
Was it the design?
The price?
The presentation?
Everything felt uncertain.
What I Learned
Through trial and error, I started to realize something important:
It’s not just about making good designs.
It’s about how you present them.
- Product images matter a lot
- Titles and descriptions affect visibility
- Small changes can make big differences
I kept adjusting and improving step by step.
Still in Progress
I’m still on this journey.
But recently, I’ve started to feel small improvements.
And that feeling keeps me going.
Behind the Scenes (More Details)
I also share more detailed experiences, mistakes, and improvements on my note page.

Final Thoughts
Selling overseas is not easy.
But step by step, improvement leads to progress.
I’ll continue sharing my journey, including both success and failure.
If you’re on a similar path, let’s keep going.
